Virgin first to offer free home-to-mobile call

Consumers who have their landline with Virgin Media will now be able to make free calls to Virgin mobiles. With this unique offer, Virgin will be the first landline provider in UK to offer free calls to mobile phones. The network will allow its phone clients to ring from their landlines to Virgin mobiles free of charge, beginning in April. The offer can be availed by both new as well as existing customers.

The free mobile phone calls will be added to the unlimited voice calls to UK landline deals already available with Virgin Phone packages, including those with bundled broadband and phone.

At present approximately 10 per cent of Virgin Media customers are subscribed to ‘quadplay’ services, which is bundled product of broadband, phone, TV and mobile. The positive response received for the consumers shows that the consumers want more of such bundled services. The company expects that the free home to mobile call service will offer great value to the consumers & nearly half a million customers will be benefited by the same.
